Need a new boiler?

Want to make the right choice? Whether you’re a landlord, live in a semi or a detached home, or live in a more rural location, here’s what you need to know:

The boiler

Finding the right boiler means knowing more about your options, which is why we’ve provided a little info on the most common types below:

Combi boilers

Combi boilers are compact, easy to install and very efficient if you are a small family or living in a small home. One unexpected benefit of combis for people who have never owned one is that you never have to wait for your water to heat up – hot water is always available when you need it.

Conventional boilers

Conventional boilers require a hot water tank, which can store gallons of hot water ready for when you need it. Ideal for use in larger properties with several bathrooms, they do require more space, to fit the tank in, than some boilers

System boilers

Very similar to conventional boilers, system boilers benefit from the fact they have more of their components built-in, which means a smaller storage tank is needed. Great for larger semis or homes with a decent loft space, and able to cater to families who require a lot of hot water adequately.

What connection do you require?

Mains gas is available in most places, but in some very rural locations, there is no access to the gas network and that means that LPG boilers are the most viable option. For most other people, gas boilers will be the most efficient choice.
